The Conceptual Foundations text was to provide the conceptual foundations for Behavior Analysis as is required for graduate programs in Behavior Analysis. The approach taken was that Behavior Analysis could be seen, in broad strokes, as the result of limiting discussions in the field of psychology to science. The text established why psychology must be "scientific", what "scientific" is, how the science of psychology fits within all sciences, how Behavior Analysis differs from other approaches to Psychology, and guidelines for adding to the knowledge base of Psychology by doing research.
